Recently, the “Liquor Quality and Safety Traceability System Specification” (QB/T 5711-2022) industry standard released earlier by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has been formally implemented, which is applicable to the construction and management of the quality traceability system in Chinese liquor production and sales enterprises.

“The central government and national ministries encourage the construction of traceability systems in important consumer goods sectors.” Ministry of Industry and Information Technology consumer goods department relevant person in charge pointed out that the establishment of a national unified and standardized liquor traceability standard system is the implementation of the “Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and The State Council on accelerating the construction of a unified national market”, to ensure the smooth and sustainable recovery of the food industry, promote high-quality sustainable development of an important measure.

The Specification defines the contents of THE LIQUOR quality and safety traceability system, as well as the requirements for the function, construction and management of the traceability system. According to the code, the whole life cycle information of baijiu from production, circulation to consumption will be recorded for consumers, enterprises and regulatory authorities to trace and check the source.

The formal implementation of the “Standard” will also promote more and more liquor manufacturers to join the big family of anti-counterfeit traceability.

At present, some enterprises are to give products NFC/Rfid electronic chip tag, to achieve wine products anti-counterfeiting traceability system function, perhaps in the near future will become the mainstream of the industry.
